There are sixteen pages set aside this year for local businesses to be part of the book. Pages close August 15.
For nine years, I've photographed this community. The people who live, work, and explore these streets and bring life to the neighbourhood. Every year it becomes a book.
This year, I am reaching out to local businesses to be in it. Not as advertisers, but more importantly, as supporters of this project. Businesses I've enjoyed supporting and recommending over the years, together in one place, amongst some of the most interesting people I've captured this year.
SoEV by the numbers
Nine years of this
I've been capturing these neighbourhoods for the past nine years, organically growing this project into what it is today. What started off as free zines hidden around the neighbourhood has now become hundreds of copies sold at Slice of Life, Alterior, Gatley, The Drive Skateshop and Antisocial, and direct from my website.
Then. Left in a news box on the street.
Now. On the counter, nine editions deep.

An ad buy. Two hundred copies will not out-reach a $300 Meta campaign, and I'm not going to pretend otherwise.
But I have a strong, loyal, and curious following, who look critically at who and why I collaborate with people when I do.
An opportunity to support Seasons of East Van in a way that shows my Instagram followers, and more importantly, my book readers, that you back this project.
It can also be a keepsake for your business: made properly, on location.
Your page is designed, printed and bound to the same standard as every other page.
The pages
Below are the different ways to be included in this year's book. It can be as simple as a logo on the thank you page, or something more exciting: a full page spread, done by me, for everyone to see. I've set aside sixteen pages in this year's book for sponsor pages, something I've never done before, and four are already taken.
What you could see
Shot on location. Yours runs as its own full page in the book.
Five ways in
Every sponsor gets a place in the book. How much time I spend on you is what changes the price.
Half now to hold the page, half on the day I shoot.
Sponsorship is a deductible marketing expense.
How it runs

One line back with your tier and a couple of days that work, and I'll do the rest.
